Roy Gibson
Roy happy birthday , for today. However I usually make a practice of glancing through the names to see if recognise any. On the extreme off chance , you are not the younger brother of Robert Gibson are you ? Of many years ago of Roker Avenue, Hill Heads . See you don’t live there now , but that means really nothing with all the intervening years. Anyhow happy birthday for today. JS.

Re: Roy Gibson
Happy Birthday Roy. I sailed with a Roy Gibson on Blue Funnel's Bellerophon in 1952. He was from Birkenhead. I was deck boy and he was ordinary seaman. I will be 90 in August, being an OS he would have been older than me so I doubt this Roy is the same one.

Re: Roy Gibson
#6 It was just a shot in the dark on my part Trader ! Gibson is a very common name and the one I was pals with at school was Robert , but he had a younger brother who I believe went to sea, also round the corner he had a cousin Harry Gibson who went on the Whalers but don’t think he stayed there very long. Robert’s father was ex RN who carried on at sea in the MN after the war. Cheers JS
Ps around the corner christened Henry but always got Harry, from me at least JS.
