    Default A port in China 1966.

    Hi does anyone know the name of a port in called I think, wam pawer. it was 1966 i was there with a full cargo of fertiliser. From Germany. I believe it was a popular port for British Shipping in its early days. If anyone, knows the name i would be great full.

    Whampoa is an area in Hong Kong if I recall correctly

    Hong Kong is an Island but its terrorities extended in a much larger land mass to the North on the Chinese mainland. Many people mix up Kowloon with Hong Kong but it is a ferry boat ride between the two. JS .

    I remember a post some time ago where I think it was a woman who was looking for what happened to a little boat during the war, that was around Whampoa can't remember if she ever found out.
