Re: Deliberate Pollution
John Swedens membership was being held up by the views expressed by Turkish president Erdogan. He has withdrew his objections and Sweden will be admitted soon. Finland has already been admitted 4th April 2023
So much for Putin and his concerns about Ukraine wanting to join NATO , he was looking the wrong way!!
Finland has a 1,340-kilometre (830 mi) border with Russia, which upon accession more than doubled NATO's pre-existing border with Russia.

Re: Deliberate Pollution
I do think they are all coming to understand they need to be as one when it comes to facing Putin.
Story on net today, but no follow up, Putin has had a slight heart problem of late.

Re: Deliberate Pollution
Meanwhile the UK pokes the Bear. Several laughed when Macron & Merkel wanted to have a European army. Yes there is NATO but if the previous US president gets re elected one should not be over reliant on the USA getting involved in another European war again. No matter what NATO says him in the White house pulls the strings.
I suppose there is always the Lend Lease could be implemented again

Re: Deliberate Pollution
Vic, we have an under manned Army an under manned RAF and an under manned Royal navy all under funded. Easy for Politicians to open their gobs and spout a load of sh-tie then disappear as they are no longer in charge. Is it really wise to go poking the bear. Not that long ago a US General told Ben Wallace, the British Army will be unable to fully protect its country and allies “for a decade.”
If all the recent unwanted arrivals decide to kick off we could be in for a busy time.

Re: Deliberate Pollution
Shortage of members of the armed forces.
Not just a shortage in UK, we have same here, the younger generation look at what is going on and say, 'no we do not want to end up in that'
Even Police having a job to fill all places.
