Ships in 1970's my husband was on
Hi, I don't know if anyone can help. I have a list of the ships my husband Stan Grinham was on in the 60's but he never told me the names of the ones he was on in the 70's.
Could anyone tell me how I might be able to find out? As this may help anyone who sailed with him to remember him . As I am always looking for stories and photos of him from those days. (Even the naughty stories, he told me a few!).
Thank you
Sylvia Grinham

Hi Sylvia, wellcome to the site, if you list the ships your husband was on, there are many here who sailed in the 60s, if you have his discharge book number, that would also help our researchers, KT

Re: Ships in 1970's my husband was on
Hello Sylvia
Thank you for asking, however if your Hubby was still at Sea past 1972 there will be no records held , as they stopped that after 72.
However as said in previous post , if you do have his Discharge Book the Ships would be listed in the Book!
If per chance he may have some records , will need his Place and DOB, so as to know its his!
Thank You

#2. Sylvia you have I believe posted before on the same subject . Can you reaffirm the year of your husbands death ? Did he reach the 1980s ? Can you for instance remember if he received any redundancy from any shipowner or from the British Shipping Federation , it may give someone a starting point to start a search from . A name and nothing else is long odds. I hope you get lucky however Best of luck. JS
