CRS 10 form Details
The CRS 10 of my brother-in-law contains some curious details in need of interpretation. Perhaps someone here may be able to shed light on their meaning.
Line three reads, Franconia 147210 (name & O.N. of ship). 19.3.42 Glasgow (date and place of engagement) M. R. Boy (rank or rating) 28.4.42 (des) Durban (presumably deserted at Durban)
Next line insertion in red, M.N. 11660/42 Miss Jones Marine B.
Then two sealot voyages ending in desertions. (I know what a sealot voyage is)
Another insertion in red, Man wanted by Miss Jones Marine B ref sealot M11660/42
Insertion in red, M\W Mr. Harding ref R.G. 21290/43.
Any clues?

Re: CRS 10 form Details
Hi Ron,
Difficult to be honest.
It took me years to find out what a sealot was as there wasn't anything online back in the day when I was looking.
Re the CRS 10 text, I have come across similar wording in some other records but the meaning is not totally clear to me. Miss Jones, probably a clerk at Marine B, [suggest this is an office or place] I have seen Marine C previously, I think.
Suggest they may be looking for him as he would have been transported possibly as DBS and then he went on the run before his destination. Difficult without the actual image as the context is always king. But difficult anyway.
Regards
Hugh
