On cruise ships at the skippers cocktail party the guest get to shake hands with him and some other officers.
I hear the others always saying, 'hello Captain'.
For me it is always G'Day skipper and never any comments from him.

###it was always good morning captain from me ...or yes captain but the old man when discussing him ......and of course harry tate .....and the chief stupid ......second stupid .....the cook was the doc.....the engineers ...ginger beers .....and of course the carpenter chippy.....and some other names i wont mention as we have a new lady aboard .....i will write a situation station from the serving hatch one time....always a sense of humour and the catering staff...being in charge for a change ...ie oooh the 6th engineer has asked the saloon steward is the chicken tender and he only likes white meat ......lol lol.....humour the best medicine ......oh happy days
