    Vic
This is proving to be a very hard one ,i still find no trace of him in the normal Channels i use.
I have however come across thsi Link within the Archives which Covers the Name mentioned but it is in a Sub Series, and there fore can only be viewed per payment.
Now wether or not this will have any info on him is a hit and miss,so its up to you if you want to spend cash getting a Copy.
As said Viv I really don't know!
    Cheers

    Vic
There is a possibility that this may unfortunately have been one of the many Entries that were either lost or destroyed,as it is very strange that no info at all comes up with his R Number or name.
That would be a great pity but it happens and as said may just be one of the unlucky ones.but will continue to look into it.

    Vic
Seems that I was correct and that his Records were destroyed ,so I will have to look and see if I can possibly locate him in some other Archive ???

The principal source of records of seamen’s service up until 1941 is the central indexed register, or Fourth Register of Seamen, which was started in
    1913
    .
The entries for 1913-1917 were destroyed
so for these years you will need to consult agreements and crew lists instead.

So a stumbling block here i fear Vic as now the only way to locate anything on him is to have at least one Ships name and that it seems you have not got.

    What a great pity!

    Agreements and crew lists (1835-1994)

The National Archives holds the following proportions of agreements and crew lists after 1861:

    • 1861-1938: 10%
    • 1939-1950: 100%
    • 1951-1994: 10%

Use the box below to search for agreements and crew lists by ship’s official number in BT 99, BT 380 and BT 381

    Most crew lists from
    1863 to 1976
    are held by the
    Maritime History Archive
in Newfoundland, and are searchable online by ship’s number.

    https://www.mun.ca/mha/about/orderagreements.php

mha@mun.ca ; Address the Email to one Tanya MacDonald she is the Chief Archivist there and very good

There is now only one avenue left open for you and that is to write to the University Archives in Newfoundland Canada, giving his name and Number there is a slight chance they may be able to trace him from that, but normally they also want at least one Ship served on,but well worth the try I feel ,this will be looked into and they will get back to you with an answer at some stage.
That I am afraid is all I can do for you at this time Vic.
    Good Luck on it all.
    Cheers
    Vernon

Would there be any other small bit of information on this elusive Person at all Vic??
Possibly his first Ship ? or anything else that may help us in the search.
