Clan Line Crew
Good morning all,
I am trying to locate any ex Clan Line crew who may have knew my late Father RON "TINY" WILKINSON, He served on various Clan Ships his first being the SS Ayrshire in 1958 joining as a Junior Engineer.
I have added a Photo of him and do hope I have some luck in finding anyone who knew him or served with him, In particular I would like to find his Best Man at his wedding in Durban SA, I only know his first name which was Bobby so I know it will be a long shot.

Re: Clan Line Crew
SS AYRSHIRE completed 1957.
She was awaiting handover in the James Watt Dock, Grenock, when a storm blew up, she broke her moorings ropes and ends up wedged lengthwise across the width of the dock.
Handover was delay by a few weeks whilst repairs to he stern plating was undertaken.
In 1965 she ran aground and after attempts to salvager she was abandoned, she ran aground some 450 miles from Aden.
