Re: Banned in the USA
Hi Lewis.
Sometimes one had to be careful. I joined the RFA Wave Baron in Swansea, we were sitting in the mess room yarning, many of us had sailed with each other before and the talk centered around what we had been up to on leave. This bloke pulled out his wallet and said i met a nice older sort, but before he could pull a picture out this other bloke said my mother owns a pub; this is a picture of my Mum outside it, the other bloke put his wallet back in his pocket, later he told me he was just about to show us a picture of the blokes mother, fair enough I suppose as she was a widow.
Cheers Des

Re: Banned in the USA
Hi Des, something very similar except in different circumstances , not wanting to betray any trusts and something that media and such like have no right to print. Similar thing at a disaster. Managed to get the offender changed out in hours before a boat crew had to be utilised. During the event another headache was the mental health of one of the occupants of the boat. Was bad enough as it was, without having to worry about any suicidal tendencies. These stories are never made public and are not for the public, or anyone else apart from them caught up in the middle of it. As a long time ago now hope the very few who know about will forgive any personal secrets I may be releasing. Cheers JWS
