Terminal official told me: approx. 18,000passengers setting sail & altogether handling almost 30,000 bags ...
Well, after all, it is the cruise capital of the world ...

"I was born in Holland, but weemigrated to America in 1951," recalled a lady here on the CrystalSerenity. "But we used to return to Holland every otheryear -- alternating on the Nieuw Amsterdam, Statendam and later the new Rotterdam. They were all wonderful ships -- and we just loved the Dutch food &service. It was like being home. But our favorite wasthe grand old Nieuw Amsterdam. She was a true ocean liner ofthe old style!"
