In May1970, we were very fortunate. We had passage on one of the world'smost luxurious ships, Norwegian America Line's magnificent Sagafjord. The New York director of the Line was a friend of a friend -- and so, more goodfortunate, we were given a big stateroom up on the Sun Deck. The ship wasbeautiful and immaculate, the food superb and service from an all Viking crew. It was a short trip, however -- 5 days to Bermuda from New York& back. The Sagafjord rarely did very short cruises and so itwas ideal. It was all like a long weekend away. But we werethrilled and very lucky as well.
Attached is another very fineStephen Card painting: the Sagafjord in home waters -- thefabled Norwegian fjords.
