Re: Another good meeting
Hi Jim
I was just referring to the Overseas Members who we do not usually get a chance of seeing due to distances.
Sure I do remember the UK Members I have only been to one Meet Up in 2013. unfortunately couldnt go last year due to my very radical medication.
BUT I do remember after nearly two years .... .....
Our Lou again, You, Gilly, Ken Kenny, John Pru, John Albert, Ivan, Mick, AJ. George , Colin,
I have met Chris Allman and Ron Manderson previously. But if there is anyone I missed out from 2013, I appologise.
So ` if the good Lords willing and the creeks dont rise,` I will try to be there this year.
Cheers
Brian.

Me too Vernon only the travel insurance would cost more than the trip or the exclusions would cost me extra luggage!

Re: Another good meeting
Yesterday 26th i had the good fortune to meet another one of our members Peter Card and his good wife Margaret the was on a cruise ship that called into Port Chalmers and to me it was a very enjoyable few hours we had and by coincidence Margaret told she had been to Dunedin a couple of times with the Leisure Marching team(this was started originally for older women to keep fit )well i told Margaret that my late wife Peggy was also in the Leisure marching for many years till she was into her Eightys .
I brought them to my home were we a good old natter over a cup of tea but me being a yap artist done most of the talking but Peter had some very interesting stories with Margaret talking about her marching days .
Then took them for a drive over Three Mile Hill to Mosgiel the back into town stopping at the Cableways Pub and had lunch then they wanted to see the steepest street in the World so i drove them to have a look unfortunattly time was running outso itook them to the bus that took them down to the ship it was a very warm day .
As they live in Auckland there is a possiblity that i will be going there as i have a daughter living there.
So who will be next???
