I will have to be at my best today as i am going to have visitors from Alice Springs Australia .What a difference they will find in the temperature.My grandaughter and my great grandson boy i have not seen this new grandson so it is going to be a nice suprise

A nice Town is Alice, I have been there twice.
They have the Henley on Todd Boat Race Regetta every year, I would love to be there on that day.

Yes Brian the trench is filled in .Isure enjoyed my grand daughter and the wee fellowhe sure is a bundle of energy going to out to my daughters for bbq has it is aholiday today (Labour Day).Yes Brian yhey still have the races on the the Todd River been there a few times and drunk a few cans of VB i just might go back to AS next year for a short visit

Going back quite a few years i was camped in the Alice for a couple of weeks,all the Abo's used to drink there grog in the dry river bed,anyway this particuler time it raind cats and dogs,within minutes the river was raging and to watch the abo's and their mad scramble to get out of it was realy a great show never laughed so much the town was chocker with people laghing there plumbs off.

Lou I doubt you will need the fridge for the beer, 38 yesterday in the Alice with more to come. But Coober Peedy gets hotter, there in the late 80's when it hit 52. But when the Todd floods it floods at such a rate of knots it is a wonder the Abbos can get out in time. Only river in the world where I have walked across the river bed.

The many times that my wife and was in Alice Springs I have seen the Todd River in full flood just a raging torrnt .As regards to the Abos drinkink there on our first visitbto AS Anzac Hill was a great place for them to drink i can remember going up to the war memorial and a good one to i came across a bunch of them sitting round in a circle with a couple of boxes of wine they was all just about drunk but later on they clean that area up and now its is one of the places that i go to
