Hi Lou, thanks for the story in the OTAGO TIMES, makes us feel very humble after reading that story, A good example to all the kids of today , if only they were interested.
I will pass it on to Joe Farnworths family.
After leaving Dunedin on the QE we had a reporter on board from the OTAGO TIMES, I told him I had met you and the story of what I knew, he was supposed to have done an article in the paper about it. Must not have done.
Glad you got the MN recognised at last.
It is a hard struggle to get the message across.
    All the best Lou,
    Cheers
    Brian.

hi lou. great stuff mate. pleased that you have got the MN in print. perhaps you can send copies to other papers especially in the UK as the english papers only seem to be interested in sport. keep up the good work. you went through a hell of a time and it should be publicized. alf

We had the annual Anzac day march in town today, in all the rain as well. This year, missing for the last two, a contigent from the MN with a very large banner and about ten guys marching. Went to a local service and they had the Australian Red Duster and the MN was mentioned a number of times by various speakers. Maybe we are slowly getting the message across!
