New member in need of research help

Hello all,

My name is Josh and I am on here trying to fin dinformation about my Great grandfather Ernest William Farmer who I know served in the merchant navy. I am compiling all sorts of information on him to give to my grandad this year for christmas and he had little to no idea who his father was.
