Hi everybody

My research interest for the past 25 years have been the Danish volunteers (250-300) in the allied air forces during the Second World War. A large part, were ex-merchant seamen who were involuntarily excited by the German occupation of Denmark. I had a book on the subject published a few years back.

At present I am writing a biography about the Danish-Canadian RCAF-fighter pilot Colin Frank Sorensen (and his family). The work has included a lot of looking into ships, passenger lists, convoys from his father's initial emigration from Denmark to Canada in 1911, his return in 1921 and the family's evacuation from Canada to Denmark in the days before the outbreak of war in September 1939. His father was the general agent for Canadian Pacific in Denmark from 1926-1940 and narrowly escaped being trapped in Denmark at the German occupation. He was in Sweden on business.

Kind regards
