Hello, I'm new to this website
Hello,
I've been researching my family tree for over 10yrs now and only know my late Grandfather & his late brother were both in the Navy during WW2. I know nothing about my Grandfather, but have recently found out his brother was also in the Navy and was on the Athelprince as a 2nd Radio Officer and believe he was also a radio officer on a Navy Plane. I would be very interested to know more or even find out how to learn more about my late Grandfather as the family know very little.
Wish everyone a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 🙂

Re: Hello, I'm new to this website
Hi Terry,
Thank you, Wow that was a big ship, I've had a Google and found a little info about when Athelprince was made, plus where it went to be broken down. Bizarrely I went on holiday early this year and stayed near where Athelprince ended up.. looks like I should have listened to a good friend few years ago when I was searching for my late Grandfather, so I shall now get looking again for both of them together.
Kindest Regards
Sam

Re: Hello, I'm new to this website
Hi Ivan,
Yes I've got a few details, well not much as I only know a little and a photo I've posted on ancestry website of my late grandfather think in his uniform, it's very different to what navy officers have today. I shall dig out my family tree folder later and find as much information as I can find to help your volunteer researchers.
Kindest Regards
Sam
