cardiff dry dock
hi there i was contract with bp for a while .then went on the pool in cardiff my last ship was the shell tanker mv acavus she was in dry dock for a fortnight witch was handy coz i could pop home everynight i joined her on the 28/6/80 and payed off in durban s/africa on the 1/12/80

Hi Shipmates, Hi Steve I was on a few B.P. and ESSO ships, only sailed out of Cardiff on ESSO from cory tank farm, by the red house pub, all long gone Called ELY harbour in them days

hi when i sailed out of dry dock that was the last time i was in cardiff i never retured strange how things happen i still think about those days i used to drink in the old arcade pub in town and the pub outside the dock gates so long ago carnt rememder the name sorry i lived in splott with aload of mates some good times

Hi shipmates, Hi Steve, worked by the old Arcade pub in st marys st for 15 years drunk in there lunch time, and after work had a meal {free}in the back room often. Do you remember who was the landlord? Where were you in splott? I worked in the dry dock in Cardiff, and all around the ports in south wales and The steelworks and rail yards for 2 years for a private company

hi lived in peircefield pl just of newport rd and cliffton st carnt remember landlord in about 1978 79 my best mate married one of the barmainds her name was cat catia she was of italin stock she married kevin kev williams we drank in there most days and used to go to the moon club at evenigs
