Hello
Hi All i found your site whilst doing a little bit of research on my late grandfather he served on the ss bayano 141870 during the war,
alas he passed away many years ago when i was'nt really interested in family history (is'nt allways the way) now i'm older i realised i missed out on some interesting history , he told me the bayano was one of the ships that did a lot of runs in the convoys i'm just trying to find out if this would have been right , i have his certificate of discharge book which has 24 entries in it aboard the bayano . If anybody on here could help me fill in some blanks about this i would be very grateful
many thanks John
