Need some info
Hi All
Iam looking for some information about my uncle John Kilcullen could hve been known as cully he was a merchant seaman His last ship was the Warwick Castle and he signed on in victoria docks London 31/7/1961 John was flown home after a fall on board this ship and sadly died on route to the uk on the 7/9/1961 aged 21 as it was 3 months before I was even born I dont hve any memories of him and was just wondering while researching my family tree if anyone out there has any information or photos of John any help would be greatly appreciated think he also sailed on the Doric in 59 and as far as I know he was a cook. hope to hear from someone out there who could give me any info or help in finding out about John

Hi Mary, Welcome to the site. Sorry no one has responded yet, but I am pretty sure someone will come up with some info. there are lots of guys with years of info behind them, although you may have to be a bit patient. I wish you luck.

Could these be the man you seek?
R651992 KILCULLEN J 05/03/1940 GLASGOW
If so there is a copy of his Seaman's Pouch held at Kew in file BT 372/1951/147. These files are usually hit and miss with the individuals details but usually contain a photograph from the individuals ID Card. You can order a copy this pouch at the link below, by clicking on the ordering and viewing option once on the site. These files should only cost around £5.60 if using the digital service and should take no more two weeks to receive.
