Hi,Ray What a day,I was on the dock when you arrived. My old shipmate Walter.P.Noble was Ch.Eng.The ship was the talk of the Tyne when the dock emptied and they saw the marine growth on the hull.I believe you spent a fair while in Madrass. It was my first trip as 3rd Eng I still bear the scars to prove it,some of it was sheer hell but then again some of the best times of my 28yrs at sea.We had a great crowd on board,we certainly had our share of unforgettable characters. We ended up in drydock in Hongkong 13 months later and flew home.Happy Days I wish
Best wishes and Thanks for the reply, sorry mine took so long
Tom.
