Hello
I sailed with Fyffes from 73-78 as deck cadet and 3rd Mate. After that I came on to the coast and worked for quite a few companies including South Coast Shipping,Carisbrookes,Northwoods(Fareham) ltd etc.

Doug Smith..
Hi Doug.! Looks like nobody gave you the usual warm welcome. We're probably too busy supplying photos and helping with research, or engrossed in the quizzes, and your post after all was sandwiched between Lord Prescott and Seamen's Missions, which I suppose couldbe a very tricky spot to get out of !.......
So Welcome Aboard, and trust you're enjoying your trip so far,and hope that you might even , very likely ,even 'meet' someone you know from Fyffes or elsewhere.
All the Best
Gulliver
