Assistance needed
Hello,
I hope someone can help me. I am a solicitor and act for the widow of a now deceased former Merchant Seaman, Mr David McKay Holden, who died of an asbestos related illness, malignant mesothelioma. My client's huisband was employed as a radio officer by Marconi International Marine Communication Company Limited and Marconi International Marine Company Limited between 20.11.1956-30.4.1965. The company was taken over by or changed its name to Selenia Marine Company Limited, which is now defunct.
I have been unable to trace the employers liability insurers for the company at the time Mr Holden worked there. I wonder if anyone knows who they might be or has recently pursued a claim against any of these companies?
In addition, if anyone remembers working with Mr Holden and may be able to assist, I would be very grateful to hear from them. I can be contacted on the forum or at Irwin Mitchell LLP in Newcastle upon Tyne tel 0191 2790104 or by email at isobel.lovett@irwinmitchell.com.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
