Welcome!........
Hello Rachel (inGreece).I see nobody has yet welcomed you aboard our fine Visitor-friendly 'ship' here . Welcome Aboard! You'll have to take us as you find us,and hope you'll stay awhile.
About your query, there may well be someone who knows your father,CHRISTOPHER WALKER or who knows of him perhaps, either with Houlders or with another shipping company.
If I may ask, were you a baby when he left your mother and yourself? Does he know about you? Or did he just leave you and not been in contact for 38 years? How old would he be now? What job did he do aboard ship? Where is he from? Would it come as a surprise or shock to him now?
Wishing You Success in your Quest
Kind Regards
Gulliver

Hi Rachel,
Try the Salvation Army Family Search team in London, They have an excellent reputation world wide.
For me they found a lad who saved my life in East London in the Eastern Cape in South Africa in 1953, December 13, when a mate drowned and I was saved by him.. The only information I had was, he was 15 years old and his name. I asked them 48 years later and they found him living in Scotland. He had lived in South Africa, Rhodesia,/ Zimbabwe, England and then Scotland.
If they could find him they can find anyone.
It was a Lieutenant Fairclough who was in charge then in 2002. We both met for the first time in 48 years on the `Esther Rantzen Show` on BBC Television, on Feb. 14, 2002. It was a great story.
GET AS MUCH INFORMATION AS YOU CAN. BIRTHDAYS, LAST ADDRESS, AGE, AND WHERE LAST SEEN ETC. IT ALL HELPS.
ON GOOGLE.........
