Please don't put too much credence on the 'Born' dates Mike as they all seem too close together. From the record the eldest (Sheridan) was 71 at DOD. Factually, Ronald Wickens was 86 at DOD and was born on 15 June 1932. I wonder if the 'Born" date refers to the year of joining the Vindi.

Ron Wickens,was in my Group December 13th 1948 entries.
Though not meeting him after ,we corresponded . He used run Vindi Parties ,Friday nights at his Auckland home. He owned a successful Real Estate , business at Mount Eden.
He lived in London originally. An all round nice guy

Thanks Evan. I didn't know Ron though knew of his company at Mt Eden which is near my abode. I gained his death/age details from his obituary site on www. Memorials suggest his parties were unmissable. I did surmise he joined the Vindi at age 16, which proves correct.
