Crossed the bar
The local paper has reported that,
Mr Ronald Cook, Chief Engineer, Union Castle Line crossed the bar on 4th Febuary 09.

Sad!
Well although i never knew this Person,i would like to send Condolences to his Family and Friends if they should ever read on this site!
Being an ex UCL like so many others here,i am sure all of us plus others too will also send their condolences!
Always sad to loose a Shipmate! (No matter if one knew them or not)
We are all one rather large Family are we not!

Recall an engineer by thta name way back in the 60's not sure if it is the same one. But condolences to his family, he was one of a very large family of the sea.
