Musings ,Sat.Arvo!
Within the past two weeks,have said Cheerio,to two seamen ,visitors.Derek Borrows,via Harrow,And Gerry Moulsom,ex, Dartford,now Vancouver.
One of the things in common is We'd all sailed on the Braemar ,out of London, though at varying times. Derek being the common link, having sailed with both of us on various ships, and under different flags.i.e. N.Z.and British. Gerry ,British ,N.Z. & Canadian. British and Swedish. Myself.
Between us, in years we notched up more than Two hundred and Forty years. In sea time.
more than one hundred. Gerry going for best part of sixty years. As you can imagine,we "Told more tales than Hoffman'! I.m still Squeegeing the Salt water ,out the back kitchen.!
Just like to pay a tribute ,via this medium,to them. for having the fortitude and stamina in taking the long journey to this Neck of the woods.had the Good Captain, Brian, been able to extend his recent Trip,(unfortunately we didn't get to meet) it would have added to the factor greatly.oh!well.Next time.

Sorry to have missed you Evan, I was on a tight schedule with two mad women and planes to catch, I usually stay in Oz for a few weeks longer, this time it was hard work.
Thanks for your kind offer, maybe next time.
Hope the kitchen dries out by then.
Thanks and Cheers
Brian.
