Naughty smokers
Here in Victoria on talk back radio we get daily correspondence from UK.
They pass on bits of info, some times useless, some time very funny.
Today a funny one if so true.
It appears that on UK TV, just like here, one is able to down load and view films from a past era.
Black and White from maybe the 40's onwards.
But in many there ae people smoking, a big sin now.
So the powers that be had decided such movies may not be viewed before 2100 hours when they claim the children will be in bed so will not see the smokers.
Even Popeye with his pipe come under this regulation .
Sex scenes how ever will not come under tis regulation!!!!!!!
Then he went on to say that only about 5% of the population now smoke, down from about 10% in 2000 but revenue from smoking is the same.
Wonderful tax system no doubt.
But at tis rate the last smoker will need to be a multi billionaire to afford the tax.

Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.

Re: Naughty smokers
Johm, not just smoking, we have a TV Station, specialises in showing old pictures. Talking Pictures.
Before each programmes broadcast a disclaimer is shown, stating "This picture may have swearing, racial language etc", the authorities threatened to ban it.
Turn over to BBC, cursing swearing all sort of thing going on, no disclaimers.
