    Default Freddie mills

Anyone watch the BBC 4 program last night on the death of Freddie mills?
To me, if he had driven himself to his night club how come he was found dead from a gunshot wound to the head in the rear seats of the car with the gun placed resting against the front seats.
Very strange and to me it appears to be a murder case as opposed to suicide which was stated without any real investigation by the police.

There is currently on U Tube a number of stories of well known who have gone and how.
Not sure if Fred is on there but will take a look.

But there have been a number of odd deaths such as this which the Police either do not bother to investigate, or maybe cannot be bothered as it may lead to extra work for them. Then again maybe he was involved in something the Police would rather not want to know about.

The criminals are all mixed up in the boxing game. at the moment there are investigations in to Tyson Fury and his association with Irish bad boys.

London at that time was a hot bed of gang land violence lead mainly by the Kray twins.
Crime was a way of life and no one got in their way and if they did it was not for long.
I met one of the twins and while he appeared to be a pure gentleman under that guise he was just another London thug.

As long as it wasn't Ronnie-and you didn't call him a 'fat poof'. That was invariably fatal,John.

Poof wouldn't have bothered me,but in combination with fat-well,that could be killing talk.
So Ronnie shot George Cornell above the right eye, perhaps appropriately in a pub called the Blind Beggar. Nobody in the pub claimed they were witnesses, even though it was crowded. That's how scared sh*itless of the Krays people were. Perhaps they were Blind Drinkers.A year later brother Reggie killed Jack the Hat MacVitie, but not sure what type of hat Jack was wearing to warrant being shot-or even if he was related to the biscuit company Anyway that's how the terrible twins came to be imprisoned for life in '69. Naughty boys !. Oh ,and that was the year I went to sea,but I had other things on my mind......

Graham I reckon the hat must have been a busby. With a name like Jack the hat , he sounds very vain about his appearance and would like himself taller. Reggie May have got of the main charge and pleaded accidental death , just by saying he was trying to shoot his hat off and didn’t know his head went to the top of it. Just like I remember an episode during the Teddy boy era , where this copper was mocking this teddy boy about his winkle pickers when he asked if his toes went to the end of the shoes , the teddyboy answered I will tell you if you tell me does your head go into the top of your helmet. There is usually a very plausible excuse in the underworld.cheers JS
