Another corny one

This one on here before.
Think of a number .
Double it
Add whatever number I give you , say for example add 12
Half it.
Take away the number you first thought of
Then tell the person the answer is 6
Whatever number you give the victim to add, the answer is always going to be half of that number. If you had asked him to add 5 then the answer would have been 2 and a half .If had been 60 then the answer would have been 30 and so forth. JS
