    Default st patrick days celebrations

i thought today might be a good time to make the members aware that st patrick was actually english, i believe he was kidnapped by the vikings during the fifth century from carlisle and sold off to a irish farmer,
as ireland then being the main stronghold of the vikings and their slave trade taking place in dublin, limerick and waterford,
    tom
ps and st bridget whom was born into slavery.

Both 'Danny Boy' and 'Galway Bay' were written by Englishmen.

#1 I might as well bite, Saint Patrick was actually a Romanised Britain who was captured by Irish raiders in Wales. At least that is what is stated in Downpatrick Cathedral which I was in last September with my Mrs. He is also buried there. Much to the annoyance the Catholics of as he is buried in a Church or Ireland church.St Pat.jpg
I must admit I never knew Danny Boy was written by an English fella. Try not to Google this one , Who wrote Red Sails in the sunset and what was the inspiration behind the song.
