So called wise men of History.
We have today in most parts of the world leaders of countries , who are elected or otherwise.
Going back centuries when the world was a different place our leaders then were the likes of monarchy who supposedly ruled by Divine right.
Even in those days whether by fact or myth we had the slow learners the likes of King Canute who sat on the beach and told the tide to go back unsuccessfully , rather like some in today’s climate change controversy.
Then we had the likes of King Solomon who was supposed to be the wisest king of all, who was judge and jury. When judging two women’s claim to the motherhood of a child his judgement was alright then cut the child in two and take half each , at which the real mother said , no sire let the other woman have him. So he gave the child to the woman who was willing to give it up.
When decisions like the virus of today causing so much concern, one has to heed the advice of our leaders , be they monarchy or otherwise . Sometimes is a hard pill to take but in the face of law and order is advisable to go along with it. And as regards Climate Change it will be whoever is leading a country where the final decision will be taking. Cheers JS

Re: So called wise men of History.
Boris Johnson has set out his vision for forging a new global consensus on the climate crisis promising “we will crack it”,
He has a history of 'not getting' global heating but his desire for Britain to be a world leader could be the planet's hope.
The prime minister says climate change is harming "the most vulnerable populations around the planet".

Re: So called wise men of History.
John, one of the problems with the current situation is that there are so many 'experts' out there telling us what to do.
Give it a few weeks of this form of isolation being forced onus and the people will begin to revolt in various ways.
No good attempting to keep them indoors in the hope it will go away, time will tell if that is the correct manner.
Then there are the 'Academics' professors from various Uni's giving their opinion.
From my experience of these people they do not live in a real world, rather one of conjecture and theories.
From speaking with family involved in the medical profession I am of the opinion the current situation has come about by various global Govs who have panicked.

Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.
