Tom, the only evidence that le Mesuier ws linked to the UK Government was that he served in the Army.
There was considerable disinformation launched against him by the the Russians and the Syrian Government's.
There is no evidence that he was involved in anything other than rescue works in Syria.
To be many websites to name state the same thing.

good evening, you are absolutely correct in wanting to believe what you want. and that is why we enjoy the freedom of living in a democracy.
and unlike other countries we still allow each other the respect to voice our opinion and without argument without risking being blown to pieces.

good evening, like you i have seen and read a lot of the arguments about the subject in hand, also in the case of james le mesurier there is evidence of his dealings with the opposing rebels against assad, and of whom are the original white helmets,and who formed them. the funding for their continued reign in opposition against assad was in many ways funded through charitable organisations, and apart from america, the uk and france together with the european union ,whom donated copious amounts of arms, but in all i have read by individual writers, james le mesurier was a british consultant, ( ie a spy ) and his death by murder concludes the suspicions, even to the extent that when the white helmets where forced to abandon their war efforts to overthrow assad, they where given asylum in this country, there are many dubious and interesting claims in this matter but when the uk gives refuge to known associates of al Qaeda and al nusra of which the white helmets where associates then one has to be sceptical of all you hear and see in this matter and anything else happening in our name by any goverment.
there are excellent articles by the well known and respected writer and journalist peter hitchens on this subject and he goes a long way in detailing and explaining the facts, but the one over riding point to me was when opcw of the hague on the 2nd october 2020 declared that their findings where inconclusive and they could not establish if any chemical weapons had been used in syria in 2016 and 2018, again a complete white wash in favour of the wests chosen goverment for syria.

Truth, the first casualty of any war.
We can only judge on what we are allowed to see or hear and with all media there is a bias, it is the version of the reporter we have to guide us.
Some live action shots of reporters as the front do show closer to reality but they are about the only ones.

But there are those who will believe all they see, and those who only believe what they want to.

So what is the truth about the current situation in Ukraine, well if we are to believe what we hear Ukraine is winning and the Russian generals are afraid to tell Putin the truth about the situation.

Putin in that case gets all his info. from off the Internet. Bias is always there with or without a war. Today it is what keeps the news readers themselves in a job. There own bias is plain to see in most cases. Gone are the blank faces of old. Today they could be members of the Academy Award. Maybe followers of Will Smith and join the Hall of Infame. I have always thought of that Club as a Self Congratulory group of actors preening themselves in their Ostrich feathers and sticking their heads in the sand in any case. The bad publicity Putin is getting any thoughts he had of taking the role of Superman are gone. Cheers JS.

Well the latest news that Britain has taken a hand in the war in the Ukraine is not good. Britain sending their latest weaponry to the Ukraine proves that they have also sent in military advisors, as these weapons have to be shown and taught by experienced soldiers, which begs the question did one of the trainers shoot down the Russian Helicopter, Putin is not stupid and he has like every other country spies everywhere and the truth will out.

ask yourselves this, Putin has not batted an eyelid when other ex Soviet controlled countries joined NATO, only worries about Ukraine- why?
Is it because a lot of e USSR armaments are manufactured there, and fears the designs falling into the wrong hands.
Or is it a case of control Ukraine, and then gradually enforce his views on other old Soviet bloc countries? No one knows only Putin, no matter what he is dangerous.
