In the holiday section of this weeks Sunday Express, amongst the adverts for all the major cruise lines, there were two adverts for voyages on cargo ships. Cannot recall the lines nor the runs that were on offer but a 30 day round trip involving Atlantic crossings cost in the region of £2500, which seems pretty reasonable to me.

    Hi Vernon,
    Looks good,
    BUT
it does visit Five mozzy ports which just look like Bolton on a sunny day, and shock horror....visit the Hassan II Mosque, the second largest mosque ......
I am surrounded by them , they give me nightmares.

If it called at St Helena, and Ascension it would be different, also is it a Greek ? then when you see the Captain sat in a lifeboat at 3am, it is then time to panic.
Sorry I don't think I will buy that one. I prefer the South Pacific Islands, the people are so friendly and happy.
    Thanks for thinking of me
    Cheers
    Brian.

    Hi Vernon
last time I did that trip it was a good one, QE2 from Southampton, to Cape Town, via Madeira, Las Palmas, Cape Verde, St Helena, Cape Town , four weeks in the Cape, doing the Garden Route from PE to Cape Town., Sailing back on Caronia to Southampton via , Walvis Bay and a trip to Swakupmond over the Dunes, Ascension Island. Tenerife, and Madeira again.

We enjoyed that one. all good ports. on a British ship.
    Cheers
    Brian.
