Re: Christmas in oz
good thing it was not up in Brisbane, where they have just experienced the worst storm in years with many houses destroyed, trees uprooted and hailstones.
Here in the U.K. we are experiencing a mega storm {of shoppers} on "Black Friday". On line shopping sites crashing due to overload, one of youngest daughters friends was number 330,000 in the queue at Tesco online store and that was just after midnight last night.
Our local Walmart/Asda has queues all around it of people wanting white goods and electronics. Most of them will be disappointed as the store will only have a number of widescreen television's and guess the colour of those emerging with the goods, yep that's right, Brians favourite people.

Re: Christmas in oz
Just got back from driving from the town outskirts (necessary voyage) the queques of traffic waiting to get into supermarket and other shopping areas is horrendous and causing long tailbacks, reminds me of lemmings jumping over a cliff

Re: Christmas in oz
I could not afford to buy anything today except for basic foods, I am not on Benefits. No one seems to be working, all out shopping traffic jams everywhere. At the tills Hundreds of pounds cash being passed over the tills, no credit cards, so obviously no money in the bank just in biscuit tins in the wardrobe. So no check ups.

That horse has since died Brian, but the mayor may be related to some bird or other.
He has his hair done up like the feathers on the head of a Cockatoo and painted all manner of colours.
