Lateral Thinking
1)...A man is lying dead, face down in the desert. There's a match near his outstretched hand. What happened to him?
2).......A farmer owns a beautiful pear tree. He supplies the fruit to a nearby grocery shop. The shop owner has called the farmer to see how much fruit is available for him to purchase. The farmer knows that the main trunk has 24 branches. Each branch has exactly 12 boughs and each bough has exactly 6 twigs. Since each twig bears one piece of fruit, how many plums will the farmer be able to deliver?
3)....A black man dressed all in black, wearing a black mask, stands at a crossroads in a totally black-painted town. All of the streetlights in town are broken. There is no moon. A black-painted car without headlights drives straight toward him, but turns in time and doesn't hit him. How did the driver know to swerve?
4).....A man walks into a bar and asks for a drink. The bartender pulls out a gun and points it at him. The man says, "Thank you," and walks out. Why?
5)......In the middle of a field there is the body of a dead man. There is no one around for miles. No animals in the field just a ruck sack by his side. How did he die?
(please don't google,it's more fun when you don't cheat)............Answers tomorrow night

Re: Lateral Thinking
Number 4
Possibly because the Man had Hiccups and the Gun Fright would have cured that ??
I know a fright can cure Hiccups!

Re: Lateral Thinking
No. 2.
The farmer will not be able to deliver any fruit because his plums have swollen up to the size of pears.

Re: Lateral Thinking
Here are the answers........
1........he was in a hot air balloon with three other men when they developed a fault and began to lose height. They threw over the sandbags and then all their food and drink. Finally they drew matches to see who would jump to save the others and he lost.
2.......the grocer wanted plums not pears
3.....it was daylight
4.....he had the hiccups and the drink cured them
5......his parachute failed to open
Well done

Re: Lateral Thinking
On looking up the answer to number 4 (just did now) the one answer I found was that it was actually the fright f the Gun pointed at him, that cured his hiccups.
But then these things have some various answers
Cheers
