Adelaide South Australia, just had a record 13 days over 40. Then came the rain over 90mm in 24 hours so much of the city is flooded.
One guy decided that using a Kyak would be the best way to get around town, that was until he was seen by the local plod.
Told he could not use the kyak as he was not wearing a life jacket and that the craft had no rear lights!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They walk among us!!
I think here on the Island last night we nearly dragged anchor, had to let out more scope!! 103 mph winds at the needles lighthouse, KT
Be positive Keith at least the Island is still visible from Portsdown Hill , It is normally covered in rain or fog

This has been a tough week for Britain.
The wettest winter in two and a half centuries, some of the worst flooding in decades, and more severe weather on the way this weekend.
We're doing everything we can to help:
• Delivering extra pumps and sandbags
• Deploying the military wherever needed
• Providing additional support for local emergency services
We will do what is necessary to help families and communities get through this very difficult time - more information is available on the Environment Agency website if you are affected.
We will also help people rebuild their lives and get back on their feet after the flooding, with repair grants of up to £5,000 for homeowners and businesses affected by the floods, and further support for businesses and farms that have suffered.
Amidst all of this, as is so often the case, in the toughest of times we are seeing the best of Britain.
Visiting the affected areas this week, I saw the incredible hard work and dedication of our emergency services, the Environment Agency, local authority workers, councils and armed forces.
I also saw the most inspiring community spirit amongst the many volunteers who are rolling up their sleeves and helping out those in need.
Everyone involved in the relief effort deserves our heartfelt thanks. Please join me by leaving a message of support on Facebook.
It will take time, but together we will deal with these floods, get our country back on its feet and build a more resilient country for the future.

Surely after not bothering much and leaving Somerset to the water for weeks, not bothering until the Thames flooded and threat was to London. Then much more as Marlow, Oxford, etc. Why is my newest friend bothering me ? I am busy helping others that have lost everything and he thinks I may vote for him ?

I wonder if the £30,000 donation the Environment agency gave to gay pride in our name would have been better spent on sandbags

Terrible to see all those floods, it struck me that food prices will be skyrocketing after it all settles down.
my brother-in-law hasn't been able to grow anything this year. As for aid well we have had some of the worst drought and fires in years and I haven't heard one country come up with any help as yet [Except NZ with firemen sent over} When Pakistan had the big earth quakes or any of the Asian countries have floods Australia is always there with aid, I think we will have to reconsider who we help in the future.

Funny we were told that there was no money, yet the minute London had floods , Money was no object. I wonder Why.
