visit to Germany
I have just returned from a visit to Germany on the Rhine, 50 years since my last time there, in fact i paid off my last ship in Hamburg. always enjoyed my time in Germany, and this time was no different, in fact they have some habits that we could do with here, on most nights in the hotel, they had a free bar for one hour, wine and beer only. they certainly seem to be living off the fat of the land on that side of the pond. was also my first time through the chunnel, not impressed, would prefer the ferries, buy hey , it was quick to get home, regards KT

I worked in Germany in 59.Sold cars to American troops for a german sports car dealer.I worked with several german salesmen who hated me and all claimed to have fought the Russians not the allies. On that basis it puzzles me why the Russians got to berlin before we did

I like to keep away from germany. hate them, for what they did to us.
Merkel has just completed what Kaiser Bill and Adolf Hitler tried to do,
Control europe.
They will not get one penny of my cash.
Cheers

john the russians were alowed to take berlin to save british and american lives plus it put the sh.tes up the germans knowing they were knocking on the door? the russians were classed as sub humans and did have a very hard time at the hands of the nazis over 20.000.000 ruskies lost there lives so pay back was allowed.jp

Hi Brian,
When you say you wont give them one penny of your cash, i think we all do, via the European budget, not that they need it, as you say they are already the kings of europe, all without firing a gun, But i did enjoy the stay after all the years. KT
