Anthropomorphoic Nouns.
It is really true that the English Lanuage is the most wonderous thing.
Take the following as examples
1 A Shoal of Fish. fish.jpg.
2.A Pride of Lions. Pride of Lions.jpg
3.A Murder of Crows. Murder of Crows.jpg
4. A Congress of Owls. Congress of Owls.jpg.
5. The LOUDEST, most DANGEROUS, most OBNOXIOUIS, most VICIOUSLY AGRESSIVE and LEAST INTELLIGENCE of all PRIMATES are
BABOONS
And believe it not not they are know as A PARLIAMENT of BABOONS.
I guess that pretty much explains it then.

Interesting point but Owls are said to be in a Parliament of Owls. They are considered to be a wise bird, so using the term parliament becomes something of an oxymoron.

Happy daze John in Oz.

I like owls and they are I know known as a Parliament of owls as well......
BUT
I dont like MPS and I think the parliament of BABBOONS is more fitting to our Honourable, sic, Members of Parliament.
