    Default Stranger than fiction

It is often said that the truth is stranger than fiction, something on thenews today made me realise, yes that can be the case. Three stories you may find amuzing.

We have a suburb here in melbourne name of Footscray, I believe Cpt. Kong met with a yong lady there some yeas back. Over the years the population make up has changed and now has a very high Vietnamese community.
Some years ago we heard two stories.
One. A man complained to his landlord that there was water dripping through the celling, coming from the flat above. The landlord said he would look into it. He should have looked earlier as two days later the whole floor from above collapsed onto thew floor below. The Vietnamese in the flat above had been attempting to grow rice in a number of childrens plastic paddling pools. The weight got too much.
Two, a house burned to the ground. The Vietnamese living in the house on the second floor had used a car wheel as a hearth in which to light a fire, obviously forgot the floor was made of wood.
Then today, a young Vietnamese lady came on talk back radio to complain she is being discriminated against by the local council. They will not allow here to keep six chickens in her third floor flat!

They walk amongst us daily and half the time we never see them.

A few years ago a family from Eastern Europe were given a brand spanking new house in Nottingham. After a year or so they disappeared and the council took the house back. On entering they discovered all the kitchen units had disappeared with all the internal doors. In the middle of the kitchen floor they discovered a charred mark and a blackend ceiling. The family had burnt all the units and doors on a fire to allow them to cook, a new cooker was unused.

    Hi John ,
Yes I remembe Footscray in the 50s, a nice neighbourhood. A few years ago I read that the Police had stopped going in there because it was too dangerous with the `immigrants`.
These b4stards are always trying to turn everything back into the world they came from, so why dont they stay where they are.
Soon Britain and Australia will be turned into Third world countries.
    Cheers
    Brian.

Seems to me like good reasons to stop all immigrants into our island.

A few years ago just after jumping ship I got a job at Unilever factory working a dog watch shift with a load of ****. Was told not to go into the mess room during the night and found out that the **** where having a kip in there and expecting me to keep out. Next night two tins of baked beans where put in the pie oven and not pierced. Should have seen the commotion when they went of. All those **** picking beans and juice of themselves and wanting to know who put the bloody tins in the oven. Vengence is sweet when taking time to exact is it not.
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.

    Hi All.
Was up the local RSL club the other night when in walked two Somalies, six foot, black as the inside of a nuns habit, not one patron looked up but everyone could see them. Austrailans have a way of looking at you and with thier eyes conveying to you a full paragraph of foul language, they had a beer then left, then Thursday night badge draw there they were still isolated, don't thnk they will be down here for long. The local Rotary club has just brought six imigrant familes down here to live, I notice they don't put them up in thier own houses but expect the locals to welcome them with open arms, it's odd that Rotary never do that with homless Australians.
    Cheers Des
