I was on the Clan Menzies in 65-67. Chief Cook stabbed or cleavered the second cook to death. We carried the body in the food handling space in front of the meat room and fish room and veg room.

Same on a british tanker ...the cook cleavered the second cook into one big lump of mince ....blood all over and lumps of meat ....humour in everything the cook then went to his cabin and locked the door .....the mate could not get in as the cook blocked the door key .....the mate then turned to the bosun and said i will kick in the lower door panel bosun and you will climb in and subdue him ....by this stage many hands were round the door ..the bosun said feck that ....i willl kick the panel in and you go through..quite a few guys took a step backwards cappy included......but the cook opened the door and was arrrested no prob .....put ashore in mina al ahmadi ....the second cook was a constant source of trouble causing discord time and time again .....not needed on a tanker or any other vessel.... or any MN site R683532
