H class Shell tankers
Of the 46 almost identical ships which have been commissioned by Shell to British, Dutch and Danish builders between 1953 and 1858, I have been asked to have replica's made of the Dutch K tankers.
Now the breakers have done their job, only photographs and memories remind us of these remarkable ships and I think it's a shame.
In order to revive the past, replica's are being built from the ss Kosicia and the prototype will be launched this month.
Only 15 will be made and most will find their way to the Shell offices, museums and well to do private parties.
The scale is 1:125 and all models will be RC equipped, though most will undoubtely remain under the display cover. Anyway I find that any ship model should be able to be in her 'element'.
I'm looking for photographs to complete a booklet of the history of the ships.

Well John Albert, I do like the compliment, but I better pass it on to the guys who build this. My eyes are old and my hands are shaky.
Thanks to the internet, I can give instructions to the workshop in PRC and it is amazing that someone who has never seen such a ship, is capable of making this replica.
Next on the list is a Blue Funnel class A ship.
