Daring class propulsion system was Political, Geoff Hoon minster for defence wanted and got untried RR system instead of a tried and tested system.

They were at one time the very best there was, but heard they had been sold some time back.
Who owns them now?

Rolls-Royce PLC I believe, it was as far as I know
only the car side that is now somewhere within BMW.
