Hi Jane - sorry to hear of your sad news - that is a very impressive list of Palm Line ships which your uncle sailed on - I sailed on the 1) Lobito - 2) Enugu - 3) Katsina and 4)Bamenda of the ships that you listed. I can't say I recollect him - what job did he do on board? might be able to shed some light on the subject.
Regards

Thank-you so much everyone for taking the time to reply and your kind words.
Dave, Bill and Alan its so lovely to hear from people that sailed with him, and Dave your right he loved his reggae and had desmond dekker and ub40 playing at his funeral

Janet I was a Purser in Palm Line and I sailed with Maurice several times. In Ikeja Palm in 74 and Lobito Palm in 78. He was a good shipmate. May he rest in peace.
