    Default Nordvest

    Hello
is there anywhere a list of all the ships have been chartered by the Palm line, back in time, since I have been engaged on board the Danish ship's Northwest in the mid fifties, where we had painted a beautiful mark on our funnel with Palme and green belts, and we were settled on West Africa, Takoradi apapa lagos etc.
that I liked to watch list
    Regards Benny

    Hello Benny
Not too sure if this is possibly what you are after, but hopefully it is!
I will look around and see if there is anything else that may come up!
I am sure with time others will come forward with more info!
    Cheers

    Hello Benny

I too served on a Palm Line charter ship the NORDKYN which I believe was a sister ship to yours, doing two trips to the coast from Oct 1960 to May 61, and thoroughly enjoyed the time. No interference from the head office although the officers mainly conversed in Danish, so it was a joint effort with them talking in Danish and me replying in English.

Iknow that at one time Palm Line had over ten ships on charter at the same time in the early 60's but cannot remember all of their names. I know a pal of mine Mike Bowden was on the Crowborough Beacon, as we met in Sapele once.

I hope you have success in your search and keep smiling

    Regards

Crowborough Beacon was once in Sapele:
    08-04-1961 arrival Sapele (Nigeria).
    19-04-1961 departure Sapele.
    Is Mike Bowden still available?
    Regards
