    Default N.S.W. Floods

N.S.W. are having the worst floods in its history, One river has reached heights only recorded in 1929, four people drowned when caught in rising waters, Thousands trapped in their homes many having to be lifted out by helicopter, and it continues to rain heavily, now moving South towards the Newcastle and Sydney area, while over the mountain ranges they have been in drought for a year, hopefully this will move in land soon.
It is caused by the very warm waters in the Tasman and a cold wind comng across from NZ

    Indeed Des
Have not seen Rain like this here before mate, its been Raining pretty Heavy for three days here now, and although we are on good Ground (Sloping Land so Runs off well) there are a lot of Local Roads that are quite dangerous around here! Not as said seen the likes in Blackheath before!
As you say , there is plenty of the Wet stuff around, and yes hopefully some Farmers will get out of Trouble. However inland there are still the Barren Areas of Farms that are so so dry, unbelievable to see, when you look at how much Rian is falling in other parts of NSW!
So to all and anyone in Flood Prone Areas , stay Alert, Stay Safe and more so stay ALIVE!

Once again this will rearm the views of the Climate changers. For any rain to fall it must reach its dew point. The
Definition of dew point is the temperature at which air must be cooled to cause condensation. This to them will point to the fact that the layers of temperature in the atmosphere must be changing , however if it is cooling and not rising it may act against any changes they have been forecasting so may consider it better to keep their mouth shut .Cheers JS.

There has been unusual sun activities recently and as all our weather systems or climate changes as some prefer to call it depends on our relative position to the sun , which some prefer to ignore. The earths tilt and passage and distance round the sun and any change on such will have effects on numerous things apart from weather also. The earths magnetic fields would be an indicator of this.As I said once before a good compass adjustor would probably be one of the first to notice. There was someone think it was last year reported that the earths magnetic pole had moved further than usual .This in itself may of been an early warning. If so I fail to see why the burning of fossil fuels can be the culprit. However smoke in the atmosphere is not wanted if over the limits
For people suffering with chest and lung complaints so a restriction is required in certain areas .Otherwise I see
No reason to have the world arguing about climate change. Man is not God and never will be. JS
PS God must have taken Noah into his confidence and got him to build an ark to save the animals , he must have told no one this time , unless there is a Noah somewhere sworn to secrecy ? JS

Here in Victoria we are in the middle of a very bad drought, nothing new.
Caused mainly by a continuous blocking high pressure system which refuses to move.
As to NSW, much of the land now flooded is natural flood plains, similar to many parts of Oz which as a land mass is similar in shape to a saucer.

ASs to the movement fo the magnetic north, that was confirmed well before the pandemic struck.

Bu I often wonder about the mentality of some.
I see that in UK there is to be a ban on wood fires in new houses, causes the big C so they say.
Well here in Oz half the bloody houses have a wood fire, and we get bush fires, never heard of anyone getting sick in that manner from them!!
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Saw on TV' cows coming in on the swell at sea, they had been washed down the rivers and out to sea, surprisingly some survived and waked ashore as it they had just been in for a swim. People where caught by complete surprise despite the warnings being issued all the time. One woman and her small son where undecided to evacuate, by the time she made up her mind she was being lifted off the roof of her house by helicopter.

What I can not understand is Australia is a dry continent right. Yet every year there are floods mainly in Queensland and NSW. All that fresh water is being discharged into the ocean. I recall many years ago a movement to try and turn the rivers inland to the dry center. Why the feck can they not do that! Yes it has been a bit damp underfoot here in the hunter valley. I myself bunkered down for the week and did not venture out. Then got a phone call from the grandson to come and help him out. Jumped into the car and half an hour later had just made it to the end of the road. Turned back and left him to his own resources. He figured it out in the end.
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.

Les, you are correct on that one.
Surely in tis day and age we have the capability to harvest that water.
Dig some bloody big channels to bring it south and the build a few dams to hold it.
The 'Greenies' are always complaining we do not use the environment correctly yet no word from them on the matter.
With that much water we could grow enough food for half the world and make a fortune out of it.
Maybe one day some one will come up with the idea, until then we continue to flood the place out.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

As regards digging drain channels perhaps the government should send someone up to Singapore to,ask for their advice. JS
