Re: Late pay/ No pay
#10, I think that they must have imported a lot of outside expertise as MSC, one of the largest shipping companies is operated from Switzerland, but as they are nearly all container and passenger ships no break bulk or bulk vessels to worry about. Containers can be swapped from slot to slot by port cranes to suit itenaries or altered itenaries, not so easy with break bulk, but we live in a different world.

Re: Late pay/ No pay
In business a good accountant is well worth his price, can save you a lot of money.
Also now a financial advisor who knows how to keep your money safe and earning well for you.
We are very lucky here in Oz, gov controls make sit very hard for the dodgy ones to survive.
But as Donald knows a good accountant can save you a lot, only paying a few thousand in income tax on his businesses, but was he honest????
Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.

Re: Late pay/ No pay
Hi John,
I worked for Eagle Cement '86 to '91, as engineer on the Cemgard, Gibeagle and Bulkgard, so we didn't sail together out in PH, but I've a feeling you were on the 'Killin' in '84 which was operated by Lyle Ship Management...you was in the Galley? I was 2Eng then and we sold the boat in Hong Kong to some Pakistani outfit?
All the best mate,
Tony Cooper.
