Well good to see you back with this Motley Crew again i hope that your Travels were good and exciting,and that you enjoyed yourself.
Hope that you will write a few line on what you got up to (Mmmm" that may be dicey LOL)
Anyway that over its time to settle down again and just do the daily Mundane things that most of us old Codgers do these days! That is Rest! Cheers

Never have time for such luxuries, three days a week as a volunteer, gardening to do, shopping, weekend drive, cooking, just about time to get a beer.

What I like most about retirement is I can throw away all the clocks , time doesn't matter. Go to bed when I want to , get up when I want to. I keep a list in my head of jobs to do in the house and garden but if I don't get around to doing them no worries there is always tomorrow. Being a self employed pensioner is highly recommended.

When working it was always do not put off until tomorrow what you can do today.

Once retired it becomes, do not put off until tomorrow what you can put off until the day after.

#7. I wake up every morning about the same time John. Can’t sleep more than about 5 hours at a stretch. Also suffer from sleep abpnia. I blame it on the last 25 years at sea where sleep patterns barely existed. 6 on and 6 off left little time for sleep. The seaman of today regardless of all the good prospects of the job re. Money etc. are on an 84 hour week. Watchkeepers the worse off with the 6 and 6. Add to that sleep on most vessels is dependant on weather conditions as well as work conditions. I have been retired 16 years now and still sleep with one eye open listening for unusual noises. Taking the hearing aids out doesn’t do much. Cheers JS

Very rarely get to bed before 2300 hours but awake by 0500 hours, then fall asleep after dinner in front of the TV.
But it is usually only for ten minutes or so as her in doors gives me an earful if I sleep longer.
