Titanic
I am an ex-Inde boy who recently added a TS Indefatigable page to Wikipedia. I am always on the look-out for Inde material to add to the page. Recently I read the some of the "bridge boys" on the Titanic were from Indefatigable. So far I have not been able to prove this. E-mails to various Titanic organizations have not been answered. I have been through the Titanic crew lists, and did not find a category for Bridge Boys. I have not been able to prove that Bridge Boys actually is a Merchant Navy deck rating. Any help would be appreciated in finding out if any Indefatigable boys sailed in the Titanic.

#1, Hi Patrick, the Vindi "Bridge Boys" were the lads that counted off the remaining pillars of the Severn bridge after two
tankers collided and hit the bridge in 1960 there are threads on site from Vindi boys that is worth reading, I was on the Vindi
in1955 so it happened after my time there, hope this helps you. Cheers John F

Hi !Patrick.
They would have initially signed on as Deck Boys.
Then been allocated to different areas of work. Bridge . Bosun's .Bosn's Mates Peggy etc. etc.

Re: Titanic
Good afternoon gentlemen. and of course any ladies we were so proud to know.....I was. on the Vindi in 1958. To come back to. the. TITANIC,,,my Dad was born the day she hit the iceberg...he insisted that he had nothing to do with it....I wonder
If if deep down he felt a bit guilty and sent his "innocent" son (at. the time anyway) to Sea....Had more than a few jars for him yesterday...
