Two Blocks
Had a laugh with my wife this morning, she thought that she had heard all my MN expressions after 57 years of marriage, well most of them anyway, but we were erecting a net under my Bramley apple tree, as its a lovely shady position in hot weather, but dangerous from from bloody great big apples dropping on you. While i was fixing the line up the tree, and she was stood by the shed end to heave the line taught via a small block on the shed, and i called out *give it two blocks*, which i then had to explain what i meant. Needless to say i did not give her the full MN meaning of the other *two blocks.* after a night ashore.
